Applied Metallurgical Services Ltd have developed Microset, a replicating material specifically for the large‐scale, in‐situ inspection of engineering components. It is a replicating compound applied by mixing into a viscous liquid which cures rapidly to produce a firm flexible rubber. Replicas are easily stripped from horizontal, vertical and overhead surfaces and release agents are normally unnecessary.
