MOST FISHING VESSELS EMPLOYED ON different kinds of trawling are equipped with quite a number of sheaves and blocks for paying out and hauling in the trawls. These sheaves must rotate freely and be made of wear‐resisting material, since‐otherwise grooves are worn in their tracks and the galvanising on the trawl wire becomes damaged.
