Croda Inc today announced plans to expand and upgrade its manufacturing facility in Mill Hall, PA to support increased industry demand for lubricant grade specialty esters. This expansion is currently underway and will support key customer growth in North America.

There is currently increased demand in North America for synthetic lubricant esters and the trend indicates that demand will only continue to increase. Chris Donaghy, Sales Director Lubricants and Oilfield Chemicals stated: “Croda is committed to supporting industry’s demands for improved efficiencies and economy in the automotive and production industries. Both fuel economy and sustainability are key areas of focus and development for Croda, so an investment in supporting these areas at our manufacturing facilities worldwide is a natural course of action. The capacity being put into place at the Mill Hall site will be key to supporting customer growth”.

At the Mill Hall facility, Croda has already put into place manufacturing capabilities for both dibasic and polyol esters. These products, used as high performance synthetic additives and basestocks in a variety if applications, are sold under the PRIOLUBE™ trade name. Future enhancements will continue in the upcoming months.
