Digital resilience reflects manufacturing firms’ ability to use digital technology to predict risks, effectively resist, and recover from them, thereby achieving sustainable development. This paper aims to investigate its impact mechanisms from the perspective of supply chain synergy.
Taking Chinese A-share listed manufacturing firms as samples, this research constructs a conceptual framework for digital resilience and examines the impact of supply chain efficiency on it, as well as the mediating or moderating effects of supply chain network and partnership factors.
It is found that the supply chain efficiency of manufacturing firms has a positive impact on their digital resilience. The degree centralities and partnership stability of manufacturing firms in supply chain networks act as mediators between their supply chain efficiency and digital resilience. The digital capability of manufacturing firms’ supply chain partners moderates the effect of supply chain efficiency on digital resilience.
This is one of the first studies that investigate the impact mechanisms of digital resilience. The findings can add to the understanding of how to enhance digital resilience in the context of supply chain operations.
