Kawasaki robotics receive major Japanese design award

The new Kawasaki FS10 industrial robot has been given the "GOOD DESIGN AWARD 1998" in Japan.

The prize of the year"G-MARK" was awarded in October 1998 to the Kawasaki Robot division for the engineering and artistic excellence of the new F SERIES ROBOT range. This prize is awarded by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organisation (JIDPO), an organisation under the auspices of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.

The G-MARK established in 1957 is the only official industrial design evaluation system in Japan and has a high level of acceptance and recognition among customers. Kawasaki Robotics are proud of this outstanding achievement.

The new F SERIES range from Kawasaki replaces the J SERIES for payloads of 6-45kg and is available with 18 variants on payload and reach.

The modular design enables the customer to select the payload and reach to suit the application, and in the event of changes being required in the future, payload and reach can be changed using conversion packages.

The high-speed slim line F SERIES is also available for arc welding (4 models), clean room, IP65 wash down and polishing.
