Under the auspices of the European Union -- MACA (Meat Automation Concerted Action) has been formed. More than 30 companies are participating in this programme, concerned with automation of the food industry, mainly the meat, fish and poultry sector. Those participating in the 29th ISR in Birmingham had the opportunity to listen to Dr Khodabandehloo's paper on pork primal cutting. Dr Khodabandehloo is a member of the MACA Steering Group.
