Another robotic success for Lincoln

Lincoln Electric is celebrating the sale of a further robot installation from its new Robotics Solutions range. This new System 100 robot (Plate 5), complete with Lincoln consumables and welding machines, was sold to Fortress Engineering,in Attleborough, Norfolk and installed just before New Year.

System 100 combines large component handling capability with a sophisticated automated welding system. One of the unique features of this installation is the use of the Lincoln STT Process. This new process provides continuous control of the metal deposition and results in consistent penetration with low fume levels and spatter.

The robotics cell, now in full production, has doubled the production of office furniture frames and has exceeded the design criteria.

Lincoln Electric offers both welding experience and technological solutions,available through its Lincoln Automation arm in the USA and its partnership with FANUC. Lincoln knows that successful robotic welding on an engineered solution that best meet the customers' needs.
