The objective of this research is to examine the association among three central antecedents of dynamic capabilities (DC): entrepreneurial orientation (EO), technology orientation (TO) and sustainability orientation (SO) and their effect on sustainable business performance (SBP).
The data were obtained from 344 women entrepreneurs from micro-businesses in Bihar, India. The hypotheses were empirically tested through the SmartPLS software, based on the partial least squares-structural equation modelling.
The findings indicate that EO, TO and SO exert a positive influence on DC. Furthermore, DC serve as a mediator in the relationship between EO, TO, SO and SBP.
This research extends the existing theories and evidence regarding DC by considering their application in the context of societal impact.
This study offers new contributions by unveiling the sequential nature of DC and identifying its crucial antecedents. Further, it contributes to our understanding of the influence of DC on sustainable firm performance.
