Civil engineers can enhance children’s safety and health with safer routes to school

Shay Durnin of Aecom won the ICE Emerging Engineers Award 2022 for his role in developing and applying Ireland’s new technical design guidance for safe routes to schools. He says the guidance will help civil engineers enhance child safety and improve the health of communities.
