Construction Materials seeks to publish original research and practice papers of the highest quality on any kind of materials used in construction and civil engineering. All aspects of a material's life are addressed including embodied energy, environmental impact, service life, refurbishment, recycling and reuse.
Submission information
Accepted manuscript types and word counts
- Briefing (Commentary) — up to 2,000 words
- Paper — up to 8,000 words

Peer review type
Single anonymous peer review. All submissions are sent to at least 1 independent and anonymous reviewer.
Open access options
This is a hybrid journal. Hybrid journals are subscription journals but offer all authors the option to publish their work open access. If you choose to publish open access you will be required to pay an article processing charge (APC).
