This special issue selects papers from the 5th International Building Control Conference (IBCC): Converging Technologies Towards Industrial Revolution in the Built Environment where the focus is on the exploration of how technology can be leveraged to address unique challenges faced by emerging economies. With the advance of technologies and the wave of the Industry Revolution, IBCC 2021 offers an opportunity for awareness and enhancement of knowledge and to keep up with the latest know-how in the field.
