The Øresund Fixed Link—Concrete Strategy and philosophy

On 1 July 2000 the Øresund Link between Denmark and Sweden will be open to the public. This article describes how a concrete strategy was defined and how the strategy was turned into a constructional end-result, taking Into consideration technical aspects such as concrete types, durability (especially watertightness), water/cement ratio, early age cracking and mix design.
