fib, in cooperation with the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) and the fib Croatian member group, has just completed a successful symposium in Cavtat, Croatia on Codes in Structural Engineering. Standards are a key tool for all engineers. Not surprisingly, standardisation is therefore also a key objective for fib. As our organisation does not represent any government, or union of nations, but is simply an umbrella body for national concrete associations worldwide, our contribution is focused on pre-standardisation.
