The IIGSS is established to promote research and education in systemic thinking and encourage the development of more mature theories of and truly successful applications of systems research in all branches of knowledge.

Successful events have already been held and the previous four international workshops/conference held at Slippery Rock PA (1995), San Marcos, Texas (1997),Quighuandao, China (1998) and a joint conferences with the World Organisation of Systems and Cybernetics – WOSC, (2002).
