Systems with hierarchical structures consisting of controlled elements are considered. The elements are described by exponential functions. The objective function is the sum of outputs of the elements without successors. The problem is stated as follows: for a given set of controlled elements find a structure of a system, for which the objective function reaches its maximum. The paper presents a heuristic method for solving the problem. The efficiency of the method is considered and computational results are presented.
