DEVISING NVQs FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Examines the applications of Information Technology (IT) within an organization′s operations, recognizing its growing importance. States that owing to an increase in its importance the Information Technology Industry Training Organization (ITITO) has devised a national framework of NVQs aimed at a specified number of employers and employees. Outlines the process and composition of this framework. Suggests that NVQs will only take off if incorporated into the appraisal review system of an organization.
