Advanced Digital Institute – ADI continues to build its team

The highly renowned research and development organisation ADI, has made two new appointments to its growing team of technology experts.

Dr Yeqiu Ying, who has joined the wireless technology team at ADI as a research engineer, will be working on developing key applications for wireless systems. His research will be particularly focusing on wireless communication signal processing and positioning, technology which may well be implemented into the next generation of satellite navigation systems.

Dr Ying was previously a research fellow at the University of Leeds, working on cross layer radio resource management for WIMAX. He earned a PhD at the school of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at the University of Leeds.

Dr Ying lives in Leeds.

Also joining ADI is Peter Tiley, who lives in the Worth Valley near Keighley. He has over ten years experience working on real-time applications for defence companies, including Thales and BAE Systems. Peter has taken up the role of research and development engineer in the embedded systems team and will be working on projects as varied as advanced man machine interfaces, database GUI’s,real-time simulation and data acquisition systems.

Ged Powell, Chief Executive Officer at the ADI, said, “We have recently secured contracts with a number of internationally renowned organisations including amongst others, Filtronic Broadband in the UK and ETRI, who are based in Korea. These achievements are not only allowing us to increase our resource capabilities but also to broaden our in-house technology expertise”.
