GSI Lumonics announces new Trimsmart laser trim operating software

GSI Lumonics Inc. has announced the release and immediate availability of its Trimsmart ™ laser trim operating software for use with the company's popular Trimsmart and W series of electronics laser trim systems. Running under Windows NT®, the software provides simplified programming and ease of use for all trim applications. (see Plate 1).

Among the benefits of the Trimsmart operating software are simplified trim program creation and editing through the use of a highly flexible, data- driven spreadsheet-style editor. Through its graphical user interface, users can quickly make selections and entries, dramatically reducing development time.
Applications requiring complex functional trim and/or automation integration can take advantage of the wide range of utilities provided by the laser trim dynamic link library to create powerful trim algorithms, expanding the capabilities of the system.
