ISO 9000 is a series of five international quality standards developed by the Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) in Geneva, Switzerland to help companies define what a quality system should do. It is a check list for doing business at a world class level. They are ISO 9000, 9001, 9002, 9003, and 9004. While ISO‐9000 and 9004 are basic guidelines, ISO 9001, 9002, and 9003 are conformation guidelines to be used by companies for contractual purposes.
