Aims and scope

The New England Journal of Entrepreneurship (NEJE) aims to publish original papers that advance research in the field of entrepreneurship. We accept conceptual and empirical articles (including primary survey data, archival data, case study, and other approaches to data collection). We also accept research papers and research notes. Article topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Venture creation and financing
  • Corporate entrepreneurship and innovation
  • Small business management
  • Social entrepreneurship
  • Entrepreneurial ecosystems
  • International and cross-cultural entrepreneurship
  • Family business management
  • Entrepreneurship in non-profits
  • Woman and minority entrepreneurship
  • Entrepreneurship pedagogy and education research
  • Public policy
  • Arts entrepreneurship

As part of NEJE’s effort to create more connections between academics, students, and practicing entrepreneurs, we also invite submissions of Practitioner notes. These are short, editorially reviewed articles for entrepreneurs to share successes and challenges of their entrepreneurial endeavors focusing on the topics described above.
