Alireza Dehesh was born in Iran and obtained her first degree in economics from Iran. She continued her postgraduate education in the UK and obtained her PhD from Manchester University. She has been teaching in Sheffield Hallam University since 1984. Her research and writing interests include urban property markets and finance.
