This study aims to investigate the perceived importance and satisfaction of occupants towards the Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) of a Malaysian green campus.
Questionnaire survey was distributed to occupants (both staff and students) of a green campus and received 344 valid responses. Descriptive statistics, t-test, quadrant and gap analyses were used to analyse the data.
The t-test results revealed that 18 out of 25 IEQ possessed statistically significant differences between occupants’ perceived importance and satisfaction. The quadrant and gap analyses’ results revealed that five out of the 25 IEQ had high importance yet receiving low satisfactions, with three IEQ from the category of acoustic.
This is one of the earliest studies that investigate occupants’ perceived importance and satisfaction on IEQ of a Malaysian green campus by employing quadrant and gap analyses.
