There is somewhat of a lack of national and international standards regarding the performance of synthetic polymer emulsions, despite their undoubted importance as raw materials. This article describes the test methods used at, and in some cases modified by, Vinyl Products. The descriptions of the methods used are not intended to be full working instructions, but simply relate the values quoted in data sheets.
