Like most other industries, conservation of energy is commanding more and more attention in the paint and printing ink industry as we move further into 1982. At the turn of the year it was the theme of the New Year message from Martin Trowbridge, Director General of the Chemical Industries Association (CIA). Immediately prior to that we saw the formation of “The Association for the Conservation of Energy” (ACE), sponsored by Cape Industries Ltd., Honeywell Control Systems Ltd., Kleeneze Industrial Ltd. and Wimpey Laboratories Ltd. Now the Paint R.A. inform us that a review of energy use in industrial paint finishing that they prepared is about to be published by the Department of Industry.
