To supplement its Hosta‐vinyl series, Farbwerke Hoechst AG is introducing Hostavinyl Red E5B. The carrier of this approx. 50% pigment preparation is a vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymer. It is primarily intended for mass colouring rigid and plasticised PVC, but is also suitable for pigmenting PVC spread‐coating pastes and PUR coating compounds, provided that they contain esters, ketones, tetrahydrofuran or dimethyl formamide as the solvent, as well as for printing on PVC, Cellophane and aluminium foil.
