Flame proofing plastics

The very rapid growth of plastics uses in recent years has lead to new demands being made for the safer application of these materials. In particular, the necessity to manufacture plastic products which have fire‐resistant properties has become of great importance in the textile and construction fields, where more and more synthetic fibres and building composites incorporating plastics are being employed.
