Uni‐Spray‐Jet blazes new trail for powder flame spraying

Warrington‐based Stubs Welding Ltd has launched a powder flame spraying torch — the Uni‐Spray‐Jet — which they claim is capable of providing a wider range of protective coatings than any device of its type. Metals, ceramics, metal carbides and plastics can all be applied by the new torch, which, according to Stubs, has the further advantage of giving higher powder deposition rates than other makes (up to 12 kg/hr) and is said to be the first to be totally proof against flame flash‐back.
