Printing ink industry appointment

The British Coatings Federation (BCF) which represents the UK's £2 billion coatings manufacturing industries has announced the appointment of Ron Parker as their new printing ink executive.

BCFs director, Moira McMillan said:

The creation of this new post illustrates the BCF's continuing commitment to its priming ink companies and we welcome Mr Parker who has a lifetime of experience at a high level in the industry and is well placed to carry out this important role.

Ron Parker will undertake a communication and representational role specifically for this sector of the BCF and will be a main point of contact for members and those outside the membership with an interest in the industry.

All other work on behalf of the printing ink members e.g. technical matters and training will continue to be run as before by the existing BCF staff.

A past president of the Society of British Printing Ink Manufacturers (SBPIM), Ron has spent most of his career in inks. He worked for 28 years at Fishburn Printing Ink, with 12 years as managing director. He latterly has spent six years at Manders as executive director and consultant.
