In GB Patent 2315269 Kansai Paint Kabushiki Kaisha describe a curing catalyst for use in epoxy resin. It is a metal salt complex of an adduct between a polyepoxide and an imidazole. A heat curing coating composition is prepared by mixing the above curing catalyst with a coating composition containing an epoxy group-containing compound.
