Ceilcote 1648CP Plus grout

Keywords Epoxy, Resins, Filling, KCH Keramchemie

The latest development in epoxy resin grouts, Ceilcote 1648CP Plus grout is available from KCH Keramchemie (UK) Ltd. It claims a high ultimate, flexural and tensile strength with rapid cure that reduces downtime and enables prompt scheduling of both new and refurbishment projects. It is thought to be ideally suited to provide resistance to alkaline environments and other chemicals found in the petrochemical, paper and pulp and similar industries.

Reportedly exhibiting extremely low shrinkage and creep resistance, Ceilcote 1648CP Plus grout is said to be ideal for use in critical installations, even at elevated operating temperatures (Plate 4). According to the manufacturers the material provides bond strengths to steel in excess of 20N/mm2, while bond strength to concrete is greater than the tensile strength of the concrete substrate. As a result, transfer of loads is fully distributed through the foundations.

It is reported that Ceilcote 1648CP Plus grout has also been specifically developed to provide a variable fill ratio. This is in order to optimise the flow ability, but at the same time maintaining a very high bearing area and physical characteristics at cost effective rates.
