A first for Drumnet

Drumnet is an association of drum manufacturers from around the world. It won its first major contract to supply 100 per cent of the 210-litre drum requirements for PPG, a coatings manufacturer, at the end of 1998 (Plate 8). The contract was achieved through the efforts of the central Drumnet negotiator in France, and has led to the supply of drums from five Drumnet members: T & D Packaging in the UK; Reyde SA in Spain; Galley SA in France; Mauser in Germany and 3F and Omoe in Italy.

The contract has been running successfully since 1998. Drumnet's success in satisfying PPG's requirements for the project has now led to the prestigious award of the 1998 "Excellent Supplier Award".
