Spray-on seam sealant

Another development in coatings for steel is a spray-on seam sealant for metal surfaces, designed primarily for car bodywork repairs. Called Kentpro,it has been introduced by the Atofina subsidiary Ato Findley and Premier (note:all Total-Fina-Elf chemicals activities have been reorganised under the Atofina name).

The sealant is formulated from a polyether with silk terminal and is claimed to have outstanding application properties. It needs little pretreatment, is easy to apply and is said to produce a "flawless" film on application,ready for immediate painting. It is compatible with other bodywork products.
