Larry Bohn is Associate Dean of Online for the Sullivan University Online Division. He received his BS from Southern Illinois University, an executive MBA from Sullivan University, and MA and PhD from Linda Vista University. He has over 30 years of experience developing and delivering training in the academic, corporate, and government arenas and holds several technical certifications. Larry is the coauthor of the textbook, Medical Coding: Evaluation and Management.
Jonene Cook is a learning specialist in academic services for student athletes at Oklahoma State University and a doctoral student in the educational technology leadership program at Morehead State University. She has a BS in English education and an MS in educational technology as a library media specialist from Oklahoma State University. For her doctoral research Cook is researching how to better train academic facilitators to work with Division I student athletes.
John Curry is an assistant professor in and program coordinator of the educational technology program at Morehead State University. He earned a BA in English from Brigham Young University and a MA in the theory and practice of writing and PhD in instructional technology from Utah State University. His research interests include instructional design, educational evaluation, and online and distance education.
Christopher Miller is a professor of education and chair of the Department of Foundational and Graduate Studies in Education at Morehead State University in Morehead, KY. He received his EdD in instruction and administration from the University of Kentucky in the instructional systems design program. Miller’s doctoral focus was on web-based instructional design and testing of the personcentered model of instruction. His research interests include web-based instructional design, games and simulations in education, classroom technology integration, comics as new media, and leadership. He is author of the book Games: Purpose and Potential in Education.
Anthony Piña is Dean of Online Studies at Sullivan University. His research emphasis is in program and institutional level issues in distance education. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Brigham Young University and his doctorate in leadership with a concentration in educational technology from La Sierra University. Piña has authored more than two-dozen peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and has delivered over 165 conference presentations. He is on the editorial review boards of the Quarterly Review of Distance Education and the Journal of Educators Online and is associate editor of the Journal of Conflict Management. He is author of the book Distance Learning and the Institution and has recently coedited the book Real Life Distance Education: Case Studies in Practice.
Thomas Tobin is the coordinator of learning technologies at the Northeastern Illinois University Center for Teaching and Learning. He received his BA from Canisius College, MA from Indiana State University, MLS from Clarion University, and PhD in English from Duquesne University. Tobin’s work focuses on using technology to extend the reach of higher education beyond its traditional audience. He advocates for the educational rights of people with disabilities and people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Tobin serves on the editorial boards of the Online Journal of Distance Learning Administration and the Journal of Interactive Online Learning, and he is a speaker and author in many areas related to distance education, including copyright, evaluation of teaching practice, universal design for learning, and academic integrity.
