Mathematical and Feature Models of Assemblies are presented in chapter 3. The following three chapters discuss Constraints in Assembly; Dimensioning and Tolerancing Parts and Assemblies; and Modelling and Managing Variation Build-up in Assemblies.
Chapters 7 and 8 address Assembly Sequence Analysis, and the Datum Flow Chain, while chapter 9 discusses Assembly Gross and Fine Motions. Assembly of Compliantly Supported Rigid Parts; Assembly of Compliant Parts; and Assembly in the Large: The Impact of Assembly on Product Development, are presented in chapters 10-12.
