Bosch has launched a new range of compact cylinders which conform to the UN/TOP standard. Available in bore sizes from 20mm to 100mm, the range allows for stroke variability in manufacturing processes (see Plate 3).

A unique feature of the cylinders is the ability to sense the piston position from all four sides,including the air supply side via flush-mounted switches. This makes the cylinders ideal for use in restricted spaces. Torsion protection can also be provided through two reinforcing guides rods.
The compact cylinder offers a variety of mounting options thanks to its through holes which allow it to be secured using standard bolts and threads machined into each end of the component. A centring aid is incorporated to assist the mounting process. The Bosch compact cylinder range comes with a wide choice of accessories including switches and mounting elements.
