Weidmüller adds new digital I/O to Fieldbus range

Responding to customer demand, Weidmüller has added several new digital input/output modules to its extensive range of modular fieldbus products increasingly used in food processing, brewing and general automation applications (see Plate 9).
The first new member of the Weidmüller WINbloc PROFIBUS DP family of digital modules is an 8-channel digital input module with negative switching inputs. These modules are suitable for connection in 2-, 3- or 4-wire systems.

Two other new input modules in the range have been developed for inputs up to 115V, AC or DC, and 230V AC respectively. The introduction of these modules extends the range of inputs available to users configuring PROFIBUS DP systems.
In addition to WINbloc modules, other module types can be integrated into the system (e.g. IP 65 or certified third party devices according to DIN 19245 Part 3). This means that the PROFIBUS DP system is extremely flexible and can be employed in the most difficult industrial environments.
Weidmüller WINbloc PROFIBUS DP modules incorporate the highest standards in components and manufacture. Their modular and compact construction enables universal installation in a wide range of terminal cabinet, console or switching cabinet assemblies.
