ESSEMTEC reduces prices for SMD component feeders

The new designed ECO tape feeders for the CSM7100V pick and place system are much cheaper than the standard feeders but they fulfil the same functionality. They are motor driven, too, and feature a programmable pitch and an intelligent interface to the pick and place machine.

Over 30 per cent cost reduction for an 8mm tape feeder is achieved with the serial manufacturing in plastic technology. This also leads to a lower weight of the feeder and easier handling. The new ECO feeders can be used for all components >0603, the standard feeders for 0402 components, too.

The CSM7100V SMD pick and place is used for the flexible production of small to midsize batches. It features optical centring systems for all SMD component types and achieves a placement rate of up to 4.000cph.

The feeder prices for the HLX high speed pick and place could be reduced due to savings in purchasing and production. A 2×8mm double feeder is now 19 per cent cheaper than before with absolutely no restriction of functionality nor quality. As hitherto, the complete range of SMD components can be handled and be placed with a speed of up to 22.000cph.

The HLX pick and place machines are applied in the high-mix/high-speed range of production. They feature a large feeder capacity, changeover in production and a high production speed. Only a HLX pick and place system turns a dull SMD assembly into an efficient, flexible high-mix production!
