William Congreve: An Annotated Bibliography 1978‐1994

William Congreve is well known to literary historians, but his plays are not performed as regularly as perhaps they should be. Notwithstanding this, literary critics continue to produce a number of books and articles relating to this Restoration dramatist. As its subtitle indicates, this volume lists all the writings about Congreve which have appeared between 1978 and 1994, and it supplements the editor’s earlier book William Congreve: A Reference Guide, published by G.K. Hall in 1979.
