Now that Ms Picart has dealt with sources for Frankenstein (Picart et al., 2001) and rebirths of Frankenstein (Picart, 2002) as well as the Frankenstein myth (Picart, 2003), she has decided to treat more serious topics and turned her attention to the Holocaust. Even though Picart has spread her net very widely in her interpretation of films about this terrible period of twentieth century history, these two volumes and their combined 988 pages demonstrate the huge amount of fictional, documentary and propaganda films touching the subject.
