In a separate review of volume 1 of the Classical Tradition series of this famous reference title (RR 2007/194) I have indicated my own previous experience with the series, and referred to Stephen V. Pomes's earlier review (RR 2003/271) which gave a clear outline of its complex publication history. This new volume is conceived as a supplement to the main series, but is also designed to stand as an independent work of reference.
