“The Early Americas Digital Archive (EADA) is a collection of electronic texts originally written in or about the Americas (North, South, and Central) from 1492 to approximately 1820.” Many of the hard copies of these documents are rare, and not readily available to scholars.

From the Home page, the Archive button lets a user browse the EADA database by author and title, and provides a search box that permits looking for either, but not both at once. Keywords can be searched by using Advanced Search or Full Text Search at the bottom of the page. This system apparently...
