Perhaps I should say at the outset that my main quibble is with the title: this book seems to be primarily a guide for undergraduate students who are studying linguistics. Granted, this is through the medium of the English language, so naturally most (but not all) of the examples are taken from English, as is sometimes made explicit (“Turn‐taking in Anglo environments”).
