The sixth edition of The University of Chicago Spanish-English Dictionary is a completely revised and updated edition of the already standard reference work that, even in this age of online dictionaries and other language tools, will still be consulted by students as well as library patrons. It contains nearly 6,000 new entries beyond the many thousand in previous editions, and is divided into both Spanish-English and English-Spanish sections. The dictionary uses American English (“truck” as opposed to “lorry”), but it is useful for looking up Spanish words both in Peninsular or Castilian Spanish and Latin American Spanish.
