A Companion to Roman Architecture

If a complete overview of the history of Roman architecture is sought, then this Companion is not the place to begin. As a volume of collected chapters, it attempts to deliver an overview of the development of Roman architecture and its enduring legacy through a series of studies, bringing current research and developments in archaeology to the reader. Looking at the way in which scholarship and study have transformed the understanding of Roman architecture in recent decades, this volume draws together current material and understanding, explores the field in a new light and poses new questions for researchers.
