A few years ago Peter C. Smith, a prolific writer on maritime subjects, compiled an informative guide to cruise ships (Smith, 2010) (RR 2011/277), but had to confine its coverage to those of more than 40,000 tons gross. He has now produced a companion volume devoted to the smaller cruise ships (though one over the limit has in fact slipped in).
The format of the new volume is identical to the previous one, so that for each of the 140 ships listed, there will be found a colour photograph, and details of her dimensions, tonnage, machinery, builder...
