The eighth edition of the Fairchild Books Dictionary of Textiles is also the one hundredth anniversary edition. This work retains its place as the classic reference for textiles, and a number of enhancements have been made since the seventh edition was published in 1996. These improvements include a more readable font and layout, and greatly improved illustrations. The photographs and line drawings are all generally larger, clearer and better labelled than in the previous edition.
