Books Printed on Vellum in the Collections of the British Library Available to Purchase

This is a publication aiming to fill a gap in bibliographical coverage of the British Library’s holdings in a specific area of book production, namely books printed on vellum from the fifteenth to the twentieth century. It is, as stated in the Introduction, a first essay at listing all the books printed on vellum in the collections of the British Library, 1,237 individual works in 1,308 copies. Books printed on imitation vellum are omitted.
