Historical Dictionary of Finland

Immediately after the volume on Sweden ‐ No. 7 in the series European Historical Dictionaries ‐ The Scarecrow Press has now published its logical continuation: a volume on Finland. To most people, unfamiliar with either Finnish or Swedish, the history of Finland will probably be not very well known. This Historical Dictionary of Finland is therefore a welcome addition. The author Dr George Maude is Docent in International Relations at the Law Department of the University of Turku, Finland. He has written extensively on Finlandization, on Finland’s foreign policy, and on its security policy since the Second World War.
