Whereas The Annual Obituary ceased publication a few years ago, a German pendant has been given recently a new lease on life. The Internationaler Nekrolog (for the year 1982) was published once in 1984 as part of a private enterprise of Willi Gorzny, a prolific German compiler of reference publications. Apparently it took Gorzny ten years to convince the Saur publishing company that his product was worthy of inclusion in the publishing programme of this expert company in biographical information.
