Elaine Warrell first conceived the idea of this book in the 1980s when she was often looking for the addresses of national and international organisations. In 1994 time became available to produce it. The flyer that came with the book describes it as “Instant access to the key organisations, companies and consultants on the international scene”, and that it is exactly what it is. There are eight sections covering; international funding, agrochemicals, biological control, biotechnology, migrant pests and vectors, stored crops, environment and biodiversity, and, finally but by no means least, information sources.
